Eric Carle Museum Celebrates 10 Years of Picture Book Art

AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) — A milestone in Amherst Saturday night. The Eric Carle Musuem is celebrating it’s tenth anniversary.

The museum was inspired by other picture book museums overseas.

Naturally, it was a big night for the museum’s name-sake – Eric Carle – as well.

“Well I’m finally relaxing because for many years, I worried if it would be successful and financed and things, but it’s running beautifully, in wonderful hands,” says Carle.

Sunday, you can meet the artist himself at the Eric Carle Museum. He and his friends will be doodling all afternoon and for just ten dollars, you can take one of their works home.
