Frontier and Longmeadow tallied Western Mass championships in both Field Hockey and Girls Volleyball, Saturday, in the first day of Western Mass Championships.

Also Saturday, a handful of Semifinals. Lenox beat Granby, 1-0 in Division III Girls Soccer. Gateway beat Smith Academy, 1-0 in the other DIII Girls Semifinal.

Hopkins Boys Soccer cruised past Westfield Voc., 6-0 in Division III Boys Soccer. Smith Academy beat Lenox, 1-0, in the other DIII Boys Semi.

And in Division I Girls Soccer, Minnechaug beat Westfield, 2-0 to advance to Monday’s Championship game, against Pittsfield, who upset #1 seed East Longmeadow, 2-1 in 2OT.
