SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The holiday shopping season is well underway even before Black Friday.
The decorations are up, the Christmas music is playing, and the shelves are stocked.
“We are well prepared…we are always expecting a big rush,” said Kalya Nerone, Target.
Stores like Toys “R” Us and Target are tracking the trends making sure they have all the popular items like LeapPad2, Nerf N-Strike and the Easy Bake Oven. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Furby are making come backs.
The Monster High Dolls are also expected to go fast.
“We are predicting that, that’s gonna be sold out by the second week of December,” said Chris Byrne, The Toy Guy, with Timetoplaymag.com.
He adds that supplies will be low on most items this year.
“People have been playing it safe. They are being careful about creating a lot of inventory,” said Byrne.
