Russell, Mass. (WGGB) — State police say a hiker who went missing earlier Wednesday night has been found safe.

The man went missing around 5:30pm.  He had been hiking by himself in the area of Valley View Drive in Russell and got lost.

The State Police Air Wing and K-9 Unit conducted a search and found the man around 9:30pm.

He was not injured, but was brought to a local hospital to be checked out for hypothermia.
