AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB) — The CVS drugstore at 163 Silver Street was the scene of an armed robbery Thursday night.

Agawam Police tell ABC40 that a man entered the store at 9:15 p.m. and demanded pills.

Witnesses say he showed the butt of a gun in his pants waistband. When the drugs weren’t handed over he jumped over the counter, went into the store safe and grabbed an unknown amount of Oxycotin.

The robber is described as a white male standing at about 6’2″ wearing a black hoodie and a black baseball cap with a red brim.
