Square One Students Take Part in Early Thanksgiving Celebration

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It’s never to early to celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving.

Tuesday, kids at Square One earned all about pilgrims and how they landed on Plymouth rock back in 1620.

A special dinner was also held at their renovated King Street location. During the dinner, Square One organizers celebrated everyone that has made their programs a success this year.

“Thanksgiving every year is an oppurtunity for us at Square One to say thanks for giving to all of those individuals, corporations, and foundations who have really lent their support so generously throughout the year,” says Square One VP of Advancement Kim Lee.

Square One provides after-school opportunities for elementary school aged children.
