Agawam Water Main Break Still Affecting Residents

AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB) – A water main break that left some Agawam homes without water this afternoon, has not yet been repaired.

Agawam Police say that around 3:00 p.m., they were called out for a water main break on East View Drive.

We learned earlier that some residents lost water service, but it’s not known exactly how many. Other residents have reported to the police lower than usual water pressure to their homes.

Agawam DPW crews were on-scene for hours trying to fix the break.

Police Lt. McGovern told us, “It has not been fixed, they’ve isolated the issues, but the pressure is still down and repairs still need to be made.”

At this time it is not known when repairs will be completed.

ABC40 News will provide an update as new details emerge
