It was organized in honor of Mason Dushesne. He’s a little boy with a rare blood disease that has already had to undergo six heart surgeries.
“We owe Children’s Hospital his life. They have done lots of surgeries, lots of research. Blood transfusions are very important. He’s had blood surgeries through all of his surgeries and we are trying to give back any way we can,” says Adreana Dushesne.
Boston Children’s Hospital uses a self sustained blood supply, so it’s important that they get constant donations.
