Montague Man Ordered Held on $200K Bail for Orange Shooting

ORANGE, Mass (WGGB) — The man accused of shooting a Franklin County man has been ordered held on bail.

Monday, 36-year-old Corey Sutton of Montague appeared in Orange District Court on charges of attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators allege that Sutton shot a man in Orange three times sometime after 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

That victim, whose name has not been released, is listed in stable condition at an area hospital.

Sutton was ordered held on $200,000 bail. He is due back in court on December 28.

Orange Police along with State Police detectives assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are still investigating the incident.
