Sen.-Elect Warren Makes Staff Appointments

BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has named her former campaign manager, Mindy Myers, to head her Senate staff in Washington.

Warren also announced on Monday that two other campaign staffers, Dan Geldon and Roger Lau, will hold key staff positions when the incoming senator takes office next month. The appointments are the first since the Democrat defeated incumbent Republican Scott Brown in last month’s election.

Myers managed Warren’s successful campaign. In 2010, she managed the campaign of U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal in Connecticut, and in 2006 she headed the campaign of U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse in Rhode Island.

Geldon, who served as a senior advisor on Warren’s campaign, will serve as deputy chief of staff.

Lau, who was the campaign’s political director, will serve as Warren’s state director.
