Chicopee (WGGB) – Social media is taking center stage in Western Mass.’ political scene. Chicopee’s Michael Bissonnette posted a rant on his wall against another city official late Tuesday night, saying….
So i guess city councilor Dino Brunetti doesn’t like me. I can live with that. But please stop tying up necessary city business with personal attacks and putting services like ambulance, fire protection and trash pickup at risk. The city council has become dysfunctional under George Moreau and seems to be stuck. Time for some new blood that will check their egos at the door and put the city first.

I swear that if i pulled the four troublemakers out of a burning building they would claim i set the fire!

Bissonnette is the primary political “arsonist” in Chicopee. He creates a fire-storm behind the scenes then brags how only he can put out the “fire”. He’s one of the most dishonest people I know and I wouldn’t trust him with anything I valued.
Facebook is the Mayors ‘bully pulpit’, I have been deleted twice from his page because I challenged him on his spending habits and his push for ‘sustainable development.’ This is not the problem with the City Council this is a problem with a Mayor in the middle of a fiscal cliff, raising taxes, and more state aide cuts coming wants to spend money and more money. Mr. Mayor the only trouble maker is you sir, if you can’t work with the rest of the council please submit your resignation NOW!
I think that if what he says is true, then there is no problem with what he is saying and maybe they need some new blood. Sometimes officials become so power hungry all they care about is being right.
Gale the council is not the problem, he is, i’ve sat in council meetings to hear him rant on how he needs more money for this and that, and these guys keep saying to him he can’t keep spending like this. Now what he wants is rubber stamps like A few of the coucilors that lick his butt.
Bissonnette is attempting to “back-end” a trash fee in Chicopee by buying everyone gleaming new trash totes . The Chicopee landfill closes next year and the City Council is merely trying to make public Bissonnette’s attempt to quietly introduce a new annual tax on top of all the other new fees and taxes the Mayor has implemented. The public has a right to know what the Mayor’s intent is with respect to annual trash fees and proposed trash fee ordinances.
Bissonnette is clearly the one who started this “fire”, not the City Council.

The majority of Bissonnette’s Facebook “friends” are not residents of Chicopee. Also note that this is the Mayor’s personal Facebook account, he has complete control over who posts what on his Facebook page.
