MGM Springfield Looks to Upgrade Parks and Golf Courses

Springfield, Mass. (WGGB) — MGM Springfield is looking to beef up some of the city’s parks and golf courses.

The casino developer met with members of the city’s parks and recreation department Wednesday night to discuss a plan involving both of the city’s golf courses and Riverfront Park.

MGM Springfield wants to upgrade the courses and not change, but add to the infrastructure of Riverfront Park.

Parks and Recreation Director, Patrick Sullivan says they voted to hold a meeting to discuss the plans further.

He says he thinks MGM Springfield’s proposal is encouraging.
