Palmer, Mass. (WGGB) — Firefighters have been able to knock down a fire at an apartment building on Fox Street in Palmer.
That’s according to our crew on scene.
Emergency personnel received the call just before 9:00 p.m. Thursday for a fire in the area of 26 Fox Street.
Firefighters could be seen spraying down water into the top floor of the building from a ladder truck.
A lot of smoke can still be seen there as well.
Our crew reports someone was removed from the building on a stretcher.
The Monson Fire Department is providing mutual aid to Palmer.
The Red Cross says they are assisting a family of 5 people including 1 handicap individual who have been displaced by the fire.
At this time no further details have been made available.
