Police say the young gang member is dangerous and likely to be armed.
Most recently, he’s accused of attacking the teenage mother of his month-old child.
Police say this mug shot of 22 year-old Johnny Oliveras speaks volumes to his criminal character.
“He has loyalty tattoos across his neck,” says Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney.
A self-proclaimed gang-member who’s not afraid to get physical with police and gloat about it afterwards.
Sgt. Delaney adds, “He’s trying to be intimidating to police because this mug was taken after he fought a couple of officers.”
Police say that incident happened a year ago on Main Street.
When Oliveras got into a fight with Springfield Officers after refusing to stop drinking and smoking pot on the side of the road with friends.
“He’s wanted on assault and battery by means on a police officer. Two counts of disorderly, he was very violent, threatened officers and their wives after the arrest,” explains Sgt. Delaney.
Most recently police say Oliveras attacked his 16 year-0ld ex-girlfriend at a home on Mapledell Street. The reason for the visit was to see his month-old child.
“He pushed her, held her by the neck, stepped back and took a gun from his waistband and pointed it at her,” says Sgt. Delaney.
The victim’s mother stepped in, breaking up the fight and that’s when Oliveras took off.
Police say he doesn’t have an address but is in Springfield.
This most recent attack brings with it a felony charge and authorities report it’s just one more to tack on to more than 2 dozen charges against him.
