Veteran Springfield Police Officer Retires

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WGGB) — Friday was the last day on the job for a veteran Springfield police officer.

Roger Landry has served the city for 38 years. He says he leaves behind a lot of good memories, partners and friendships.  Landry told abc40, “Things have changed drastically for the good in some areas, for the not so good in others. But as far as the career, I’m very happy with my career, I’m very satisfied in my career. I’ll go off into the sunset, a happy camper, so to speak.”

Landry has no retirement plans, other than getting a knee replaced.
