A Foggy…Foggy Night

You often hear about London fog or the fog which drifts in and out of the Bay area on the west coast, but rarely to we get a night in western Massachusetts when the visibility drops below a tenth of a mile.  However, such is the case on this murky night in early December as the temperatures are trying to climb into the 50′s out ahead of a cold front just to the west of New England and that overrunning of mild air has produced this pea-soup weather.  Eventually the cold front will sweep through during the early morning hours of this upcoming Tuesday and this temporary halt in any real visibility will be but a distant memory.  Hard to believe the sun still exists on such a moist night but it will make a comeback and our spirits will be lifted once again.
