ABC40 Honor Roll – Local School Counts its Pennies for Great Cause

Springfield, Mass (WGGB)- The Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy in Longmeadow recently took part in “penny wars” to benefit victims of superstorm Sandy.

Each day toddlers through 8th graders brought in their pennies and extra change.  Penny wars was a win-win for the kids and the broader community. The students raised one-thousand, seven-hundred, fourteen dollars in change.

Penny wars was a competitive, fun competition for a great cause.
