HOLYOKE, Mass (WGGB)-He’s getting your lists, checking them twice, and several kids are visiting him to find out if he thinks they’ve been naughty or nice “I would like one Flash Costume, and a Leapfrog computer like last time you said”, one boy asked.
For any of you who don’t believe, Santa even managed to surprise me. “Oh Santa knows a lot of things about a lot of people, and I looked you up and checked you out knowing you were coming to visit from New York City. You used to spend a lot of time on radio rather than TV? You’ve taken a step up,” said Santa.
A day in Santa’s life isn’t easy. Traveling between Holyoke & the North Pole keeps him very busy. “I arrive here from the North Pole at about 9:15 am, I usually have a quick cup of coffee, change into my red suit, come down the escalator, and we sit here,”
A special friend helps him overnight. He and Elf on the Shelf are very tight. “If didn’t have the Elf on the Shelf, you know, I wouldn’t know everything I know about the boys and the girls. It sure does keep them in line too”
For the man who gives out so many smiles, there’s got to be something Santa himself desires. “Santa just wants every little boy and girl to be very happy. There’s lots of ways that people can do that, you know we have Toys for Joy here in Springfield area, and Just having the kids come sit on Santa’s lap just warms my heart,” Santa chuckled.

I say to all Moms/Dads…Moms or Dads, have your child put one item on their list that they will pick out, personally wrap and personally deliver to someone they know that needs something special. Also, have them make something by hand, a card, a pic, a fridgie magnet…whatever, but let you child decide what it should be and have them deliver it to a person they think needs a cheer up…homeless, lonely neighbor, someone in a nursing home. Your child will figure it out. It is our job as adults to teach children how to give. ;O)
