Northampton, Mass (WGGB) – Students from Smith Vocational Agricultural High School in Northampton are spreading some cheer this Holiday season. Students at the school are signing, sealing, decorating and delivering Christmas cards.

Over the past five years students have been hand delivering cards to areas nursing homes, the V.A. Hospital and The Holyoke Soliders Home. Students will deliver over 4-thousand cards between now and Christmas. Their teacher Mike Furman says it gets the kids thinking about others and shows the importance of putting others first during this holiday season. It’s a lesson they can not learn in a book.
