Northampton – A multi-car accident that was causing delays for morning commuters in Northampton has been cleared.

That’s according to the Northampton Police Department which reports the Coolidge Bridge on Russell St. froze over this morning, causing a few cars to crash.

The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m.

Tow trucks have since removed the vehicles involved and traffic flow is returning to normal conditions.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.

Traffic was backed up significantly for well over an hour while crews worked to clear the scene.
