Pioneer Valley Tip -Off: High School Hoops

AMHERST (WGGB)- -The Pioneer Valley Tip-Off kicked off today at the Curry Hicks Cage at Umass.
West Springfield was dominant in their 50-point win over Chicopee lead by Riyadh Asad with 22 points. The Terriers won 85-35 to advance to the finals of the Hampden Bracket.
Agawam’s Tyler Desrossiers had a game high 30 points but it wasn’t enough for the win. South Hadley edged out the Brownies 56-52 and will face West Springfield in the finals.
Cathedral knocked off Holyoke, 60-55, to advance to the Hampshire Bracket final.
Jake Ross scored 15 points as Northampton beat Amherst 53-45 and will face off against Cathedral tomorrow afternoon.
Amherst vs. Holyoke and Chicopee vs. Agawam will be the consolation games.
