Springfield, Mass (WGGB) Over the weekend a group of students ages 6 to 12 put on a play at the Bing Art Theater in Springfield. What made this play so special was that the kids did everything themselves. They created the story, the characters and did all the casting with very little help from their teachers. They even took care of the business side of the play as well.

The theater is accepting applications for the new session starting January 11th. Parents can contact Theater Director Ipsita Lizard at  [email protected] to apply. The courses run 12 week a session. Each class is two hours long (4-6pm weekdays and 12-2pm Tuesday and Thursday), the theater offers homework help and snacks at no extra cost.
