Holyoke, Mass. (WGGB) — Tonight supporters of the Holyoke Public Library held a celebration to mark the progress of the building expansion and renovation project.

There was live music and a beer tasting by Paper City Brewery.

Money for the continuation of the project was raised through a raffle for a new Hyundai Elantra from Gary Rome Hyundai.

Gary Rome says he’s excited to see the finished library and proud to support it.

“We want to make the library a place where people can go and use the resources that are now available,” explains Rome.

The work on the building is expected to be finished by next September or October.
