(CNN) — In their practices for the upcoming Russell Athletic Bowl, Virginia Tech’s helmet have featured a sticker honoring the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting victims and the Newtown, Conn. Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims.

The stickers are in the shape of a ribbon with the word ‘Prevail’ as well as the number 58, which represents the total number of victims in the two school tragedies.

The initials ‘VT’ for Virginia Tech and ‘SH’ for Sandy Hook are also featured on the ends of the ribbon.
