SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A threat of several bombs at the Hampden County Hall of Justice forced its evacuation Thursday morning.

Erika Gully-Santiago, spokesperson for the Mass. Trial Court system, says that this morning, a man called the court and “told a court employee that there were three bombs in the building.”

The court was immediately evacuated to the MassMutual Center and the State Police Bomb Squad was called in to conduct a search.

“After a thorough search of the building, authorities determined that there was no threat,” Gully-Santiago adds.

People were allowed back into the building around noon.

The case remains under investigation.
