Early Morning Fire Displaces Family in Longmeadow
December 29th, 2012
LONGMEADOW (WGGB) — A fire breaks out inside the wall of a home in Longmeadow, forcing a family out onto the street.
Firefighters say the fire broke out on 16 Westmoreland Avenue, just before 1:00 am. The fire is believed to have been intentionally started within the chimney, but it grew out of control; eventually making its way into the walls of the two-and-a-half story home.
Officials say the family living in the home will be displaced for a few days due to the interior damage. Luckily, no one was injured.
