Amber Alert Cancelled in CT, Missing 9 Year-Old Girl Found Safe

STONINGTON, Conn. (WGGB) —  Police report they have found the missing 9 year-old girl and have placed the man she was with under arrest.

That’s according to the Connecticut State Police Department.

The girl whose name is Daisha Rhodes went missing at 7:05 p.m. She was with 42 year-0ld, Daniel Candales.

Police say that both were found in Richmond, Rhode Island and that Daisha is safe.  They have taken Candales into custody.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert just after 9:00 p.m. after police lost the vehicle Candales was driving in the area of Stonington and the Rhode Island border.

The Amber Alert was cancelled about an hour later when police found the two.

The relationship between Daisha and Candales was not made immediately available.
