Gas Prices Inch Up; 2012 Priciest Ever

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Gas prices in Western Mass. have inched up two cents in the past week.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price in the Springfield area is $3.42/gallon. Despite plunging prices the past couple months, that’s 16 cents higher than last year, making 2012 the priciest ever, at $3.60 on average for the year.
