Laura Gentile Sworn In as Hampden County Clerk of Courts

GentileSwornInSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The new Hampden County Clerk of Courts, Laura Gentile was sworn in tonight.

She was elected to the position this November.

The ceremony was held at Western New England University School of Law, her Alma Mater.

Gentile says this new job is an important step for her.

“I was an assistant clerk for 15 years, so this is a really important challenge.  It’s the job I am looking forward to, not so much the office. I’ve never run for public office before. I’m thrilled to begin the job,” Gentile explains.

Gentile’s superior court colleagues, and family and friends were all at the ceremony to support her.
