WASHINGTON (AP) — Just-retired Rep. Barney Frank says he’d like to serve as a temporary successor to Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, the secretary of state nominee.
Frank tells MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he’s asked Gov. Deval Patrick to appoint him.
The Democratic governor will be required to fill Kerry’s seat with an interim appointment, while setting a day for the special election between 145 days and 160 days after Kerry’s resignation.
Patrick has said he expects the interim appointee won’t run in the special election. Frank says he doesn’t want the job for the long term.
He previously had said he didn’t want the appointment. But the 72-year-old Democrat, who served 16 terms and headed the House Financial Services Committee, now says the next few months will be important for the nation’s finances.
Just retire already, Frank! You are a blemish to Ma.! A joke to us!
Can you believe that this incompetent nearly bankrupted the Country due to his mismanagement of Freddie and Fanny and he wants to deal with the debt that he is primarily responsible for in the last 4 years! Find another Country Frank to ruin.

People do not see that, the same people (Connected Families, and their relatives and friends) are being recycled through the system and more smoke screens and propaganda is thrown out to make people believe we have a system representing us! Just look at how many bank scandals alone there have been and each one connected to the Law, the major politicians and the MOB. The public is being used like cattle being led to slaughter. Why do you think Congressmen should be exempt from Insider Trading, while, they persecuted Martha Stewart for the same thing. We can’t have any successful women in this country with money unless they are part of the system? Double Standards? Obama was groomed for the Presidency, as others were before like Clinton. Does noone see that, it was odd, that, both these presidents were photographed as youths in prior campaigns for the Presidency? It is part of the hype. OBama wanted to bring a Daly from Chicago into his Cabinet. Did everyone forget that, a Daly as Mayor had been responsible for Kent State Massacre and peaceful protesters were prosecuted? Did everyone forget Ellsworth from Cambridge MA leaked out proof that 3 Presidents Johnson, Kennedy and Nixon lied about the wars to send innocent men to their deaths for absolutely nothing but money?
