Two Arrested for Chicopee Walgreen’s Robbery

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — Chicopee Police, with the help of Holyoke Police, have arrested two people suspected of an early Thursday morning robbery.
Around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, someone conducted an unarmed robbery the Walgreen’s on James Street and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Chicopee Police Lt. Mark Higgins adds that around 5:00 p.m. Thursday, two suspects were arrested in Holyoke by Holyoke Police Det. Sgt. Shaun Kelly.
In custody is 25-year-old John Labelle, Jr. of Holyoke, who charged with unarmed robbery, and 22-year-old Amanda Bostic of Chicopee, who is facing one charge of unarmed robbery and a default arrest warrant.
Both are set to face a judge on Friday.

So if they were unarmed why would walgreens have given them any cash? Shouldn’t they just called the police or told them to get out?
This day in age they are lucky the didn’t get shot…..

I don’t know. Maybe they made the clerk think they did have a gun? Maybe they threatend physical harm? Hard to judge unless you’re in that position—it can be scary and those employees don’t make enough money to risk their lives for Walgreens, I do know that this is a 24hr Walgreens & at that time of night there are only a couple of people working.

Wait, they were unarmed, somehow robbed the place, and needed 2 different police departments to apprehend them? Are they members of the League of Shadows?
You would think that, by now, if, anyone really used any logic, that, Pharmacies and other such establishments would have guards on duty or at least there would be some sort of police presence. Let’s put the cart before the horse and complain after the fact that, we are going nowhere!? The real fact, is, that, after everyone forgets about the real events, the BIG CORPORATIONS can pad the LOSSES to claim any amount of damages and UNDETERMINED CASH was taken, as it offsets Profits.. It’s all part of the game people and after all who cares about the safety of the employee on duty. The company can replace them with another! We are all just numbers anyway!
Are you serious Kevin Murray and Matthew Doe? For starters I’m sure they didn’t walk up and say “We’re unarmed, give us the money”. I go to that Walgreens several days a week and it’s two older women that work the counter. I’m sure they’re wiling to fight a 25 year old man and a 22 year old woman over a few hundred dollars of money that isn’t there. If someone robs the store you work at, you comply. Your life isn’t worth the 10 bucks an hour they’re paying you. You never know what could happen.
2 police depts cause its 2 different jurisdictions. They were found in Holyoke, and the store robbed was in Chicopee.
