Vigil for Holyoke Fire VictimHOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — One person is dead and two others are injured after an early morning fire tears through a house in Holyoke.
Tonight, friends gathered outside what’s left of the victims’ house at 28 Glen Street, holding a vigil for the young girl who lost her life in the blaze.
Police have not identified the victim, but neighbors and friends tell ABC40, tonight they’re remembering Halee by placing candles, flowers and posters outside of her home.
“I saw her every day in homeroom, and I guess I’m really going to miss her,” says Faizul Johnny Sibdhanny Jr., who went to school with Halee. “And I urge everybody to make sure they check their smoke detectors and keep batteries inside them.”
Friends says Halee was a freshman at Holyoke High School.
