Holyoke Police Lt. David Fournier says it happened around 10:30 Saturday night. The driver, a woman in her mid-sixties, swerved and hit a parked car on Appleton Street in front of the headquarters.
After side-swiping the parked car and further losing control, the vehicle landed on its side and went right into the entrance of the police station.
Firefighters from the Holyoke Fire Department had to use the “Jaws of Life” to remove the female driver from the 1997 green Jimmy GMC.
The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
