Palmer Police Arrest Suspect in Post Office Robbery

post officePALMER, Mass. (WGGB) – Palmer Police have made an arrest in the robbery of the Post Office in the Thorndike section of Palmer.

Police arrested Kyle D. Grinaski, 19, of 4035 Pleasant Street in Thorndike at 10:00 Sunday morning.

He is charged with armed robbery while being masked, and is being held at the Palmer Police Department.

According to Palmer Police Chief Robert P. Fryd, Grinaski gave a statement to police investigators admitting to the crime.

He will be arraigned in Palmer District Court on Monday.

It will be up to representatives from the District Attorney’s office and the U.S. Attorney’s office to decide whether Grinaski should be tried in state or federal court.

    No matter what this kid was going to get caught. Post office has at least $5,000 inside at any given time. They do money orders along with regular daily $ transactions. But seriously I live in this town,it is so small that the home he was at was a stones throw away from the crime. What an idiot! Post office is federal government so of course dogs were brought in rite away. I don’t feel bad for the kid. I feel bad for the woman who was working! She is such a nice woman who goes out of her way to be friendly to the people who use that post office.
