Blind Drag Racer Motivates Local Students

Follow A DreamCHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — He plans to be the first blind man to drive a car at more than 200 miles per hour and tonight he was in Chicopee to motivate others.

Jay Blake with Follow A Dream spoke at Porter and Chester’s Career Day about the power of positive thinking.

The drag racer has even established his own non-profit in the hopes of inspiring people.

Blake told us, “Follow A Dream is a non-profit organization designed to educate children and adults on positive thinking, self-determination, and teamwork…and we do that through motor sports.”

Blake races in both regional and national events. Competing in 13 last year.
