High School Threat Calls for Heightened Security

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — There’s a stronger police presence today at West Springfield High School. That’s because a threat was found in the boys bathroom Tuesday afternoon.
Staff at the school were searching students’ bags this morning as they entered the building.
Multiple police officers and K9 units are patrolling inside and outside the school.
Chief of West Springfield Police Ronald Campurciani told ABC40 that they believe the threat was left by a current student and they already have several suspects.
