More Sex Abuse Charges Uncovered at Beverly School

BEVERLY, Mass. (AP) — Trustees at a Beverly private school say more former students have come forward to say they were abused by teachers or staff.

The revelations released Thursday by the Landmark School come five months after two alumni accused a former staff member of sexually assaulting them in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Trustees said three alumni have come forward in recent months to allege they were sexually abused by two former teachers.

Two former students recently told the school they were inappropriately touched by a former food services employee who worked at the school from 1971 to 1985.

The school serves children with language-based learning disabilities.

The new allegations have been reported to law enforcement. School officials say no current staffers face accusations.
