Suspected Serial Robber Arrested after Wednesday Morning Attempt

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) –Police say 25 year old Robert Pelletier is the man who robbed this FL Roberts Monday.
Detectives say Pelletier’s crime spree began Monday when he robbed both that store and 7-11 on Granby Road. Tuesday, police say Pelletier allegedly robbed this downtown Chicopee subway, getting away with cash. And then early Wednesday police say Pelletier came back to rob the same 7-11 they say he hit Monday. Lesley Headle was arriving to work when the overnight clerk was running from the store.

“She said we just got robbed and we’re not allowed in there,” Headle said. “‘I said what’s wrong?’ She said ‘the guy’s inside and he’s not surrendering.’”

Officers surrounded the 7-11, but Pelletier’s fight wasn’t over.

“When he found there was no way to come back out without running into the police and the dogs, he kicked out the vents thinking he was going to jump down,” Headle said.

Pelletier stayed on the roof. Police used a ladder to go up and arrest him. He was out on bail after being arrested for drug charges on Holyoke. He’s now being held, charged with four counts of armed robbery, assault and battery, and resisting arrest.

He will be out on.bail. The judges are not looking at the person or crime, they are adhering to the law unfortunately. This person belongs behind bars for a ling time.
