HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — A Holyoke Post Office employee has been arrested after police say he stole prescription drugs that were being sent through the mail.
33-year-old, Daniel Jankowiak from South Hadley, is facing multiple charges in connection with the thefts including, Trafficking Class A (Oxycodone), Possession of Class A, Receive Stolen Property, and Possession of Class E.
Jankowiak was taken into custody by police on Friday while he was working at the Post Office on Dwight Street.
Lt. Matthew Moriarty says, “Several pieces of mail, which did not belong to Jankowiak, were located among his belongings.”
The arraignment for Jankowiak was held yesterday morning.
The Holyoke Police Narcotics Division, U.S. Postal Inspectors, and the Department of Veteran Affairs all took part in the investigation.

He’ll get rehired next week by another relative…probably from Holyoke…
Here’s a thought, why were the oxycodone being mailed in the first place. Isn’t that a controlled substance? Not that that forgives the theft.
Some patients get medication mail ordered. Some pharmacies require such prescriptions like oxycontin to be mailed to the patient due to the fact people are insane and will shoot up a pharmacy for the stuff.
The one time I had to pick up a prescription for that stuff I had to show my I.D. I agree this stuff shouldn’t be going through the mail.
HE LOOKS LIKE HE IS FALLING INTO A NOD LMFAO
