Man Shot Multiple Times in Springfield

stafford shootingSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are investigating a shooting on Stafford Street that put a 23-year-old man in the hospital.

Springfield Police tell ABC40 that the victim was shot several times in the abdomen around 12:45 Sunday morning. The victim was rushed to Baystate Medical Center and underwent surgery.

There’s no word on the victim’s condition this morning.

The Springfield Detective Bureau is currently investigating.
