The state is not banning bottled water! Everyone can still buy it everywhere! An example: if all of the superintendents from every city/town have to go to a STATE meeting, then tap water from a pitcher will be provided. Not bottled water. The savings add up eventually.

These activists may be trying to save the WORLD but are they trying to kill the PEOPLE living in it?
WATER is healthy and we need it to survive. PLEASE don’t cut off my supply!
What about travelers and people who don’t have easy access to a tap? These days it is as easy to find a water fountain as it is a phone booth!
Take a look at the market and envision all of the food & drinks that are stored or bottled in plastic..why not eliminate plastic soda bottles and reopen soda fountains before banning the one drink that is CRUTIAL to our survival!!!

Do you want the state spending thousands of your taxes on bottled water? From what I just read, the state isn’t banning the sale, just the purchase by the state to supply at a state sponsored function. I’d rather see the savings from not buying bottled water going to the schools in our state budget.

Does that mean our kids have to only drink out of the fountain in our schools at lunch. My kids like the bottled water. Also so many germs are on those fountains. This is honestly non-sense of all things to ban!!!!

It says the state’s purchase of bottled water… Ok the state should drink tap or employees supply their own beverages. The citizens should be able to but whatever we want.

Just use a filter? The problem with water bottles is no one bothers recycling them. When you buy them in a case of 20 multiple times it seems like trash.

Tap water is fine, you just need a water filter. The thing I’m concerned about is, how are we supposed to stock up on water for when we have huge storms that cause power outages. I have well water, if I lose electricity in a storm, I can’t run the pump that gets the water from the well to the tap. If they ban bottled water the obesity rate will rise because so many people will feel like all they held left is soda, juice, and soft drinks like Gatorade and vitamin water, which are mostly sugar. I like that it would be better for the environment, but why don’t they just pass a bill that encourages more people to use reusable filtered water bottles?
