At about 3:00 p.m. today, just before the end of school, a janitor found a bullet on the floor in the hallway of Hazardville Memorial School in Enfield.
While police say they didn’t evacuate the building because it was right before dismissal time, an officer was sent over as a precaution.
Once the students did leave for the day, the Connecticut State Police and their K-9 Unit did a full search of the building both inside and outside but found nothing else of concern.
ABC40 News spoke with Enfield Police Lt. Willie Pedemonti who said, “We have no reason to believe that anything is afoul here. But we will have a presence at the school throughout the night and tomorrow when school opens and during the school day as well.”
Police have no suspects at this time, but they do continue to investigate.
