SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are searching for two men who robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint in Springfield tonight.
According to the Springfield Police Department, the man was making a delivery to 65 Grand Street after receiving a food order for that location. But that address is a vacant house.
When the pizza deliverer arrived he was held up by two men.
“One was 5’8, skinny, dressed in all black. The other is 6’2, he’s got a silver pull over jacket and had a large black handgun,” explains Springfield Police Captain, Cheryl Clapprood.
After robbing the driver of $42 worth of food, the two suspects fled on food toward Revere Street.
Clapprood says the man who works for Pizza Works on Belmont Avenue called police after he got back to work at about 7:45 p.m. He was not injured in the incident.
If you have any information that can help police find these two suspects please call them at 413-787-6325.

Wtf
PANCAKES!!
these pizza delivery drivers need to start carrying a gun!! smh!!
this **** happens every year
If u deliver in Springfield u should carry, this way the lowlife losers will think twice b4 trying to pull a gun on u.
I’ve worked for a few pizza shops, and it’s obviously company policy to not carry any kind of weapon, but most of them did. If the manager didn’t know about it, it was all good. i don’t blame them.
It never ends. Answers?
They stole the pizza for heating purposes.
Too many goobers to deliver pizza…its not safe
Should put an end to night deliveries-especially in sketchy neighborhoods!
Come get your food no more delivery or pay by credit card over the phone
