Man Hurt in Overnight Home Invasion

doorSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) —  Springfield and state police are searching for three men after a home invasion overnight.

Police say the men went into the home on at 81 Mooreland Street, armed with guns at around 12:30 a.m.

A man who lived at the home was allegedly hit in the head by the suspects and he’s expected to be okay. Police say one man carrying a shotgun was wearing a green jacket and his face was covered. The second suspect was wearing a gray sweater, and the third was carrying a handgun and was wearing a red hat.

Police tell abc40 that State Police K9′s were brought in to aid in the search.
