WARE, Mass. (WGGB) — Firefighters were able to put out a structure fire on East Street in Ware.

The Ware Fire Department reports they received the call at about 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Authorities  shut down the road between Knox Avenue and Pleasant Street while crews worked.

According to the Ware Police Department no one was injured in this incident.

The Red Cross reports they were called to the scene to assist a family of 3 adults and 2 children and also the 25 firefighters who worked in this cold weather.

The Palmer Fire Department said they are provided mutual aid to Ware.
