Holyoke Nightclub Fire Ruled Arson

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Officials have ruled Saturday night’s fire at the Caribbean Night Club in Holyoke an act of arson.
Lt. Thomas G. Paquin says the fire started outside of the 268 Race Street building. It then worked its way into the structure and eventually into the wall.
Paquin says occupants called the fire department more than a half hour later to report the fire. He says that delay in notifying the fire department allowed the fire to spread.
No one was injured in the fire, which started around 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
