Even if it was just so he could hear a friendly voice b4 he left.I was 16 when I was in a car & happend upon an accident as it had just happend.I was the only 1 to jump out and try to help the man. I checked his pulse and spoke to him that help was on the way. I didn’t want to try to lift him even though he was hanging out of his passenger window afraid he may have a broken neck or back but as I heard him gasping for breath I begged the people there to help me. He passed away rite there & I felt helpless. Then I learned it was a friend of mines father. He & his family thanked me so much for trying. Then 2010 I watched my 36yo husband die while I told him I luved him & to pls hold on dont leave me. He held on till the 1st cop arrived & even though he brought a defibrillator my husband passed. Being a health care worker I was crushed. All I had learned & I could do nothing! U were there u spoke to him, sometimes that has to b enuff. Take care of yourself. U r a hero for even trying to save a life!

That day changed the lives of many of the firefighters, police and others at that scene. Our hearts ache for him (the pain he endured the last 2 months),and now for his mom and family and friends. He was loved. Life can be too short. End your disagreements. Love your life and the ones in it.

I overheard a conversation (can’t verify true/false) but apparently the guy was a fireman that was injured in a recent fire that was in the news. Again this was an overheard conversation between 2 police officers… at this point I’m not sure if it’s true or not.

I was trying to talk to him to hopefully keep him concious. He was trying to move and speak to me as I spoke to him, but he was unable to. When the police & the EMT’s showed up, he had already passed on.

I’ve seen people in their deathbeds, I have seen people after they passed on, but this man was the first (and hopefully the last) person who has ever passed on in front of me.

I looked up a prayer on Google for the recently deceased, as I sat there in tears, I read aloud the prayer.

No matter the cause or reason, whether he is a saint or sinner… may he now rest in peace. My heart and prayers are with him, his family, and his friends.
