Back in 1974 on this date we hit a nice mild high temperature of 54 degrees. Fast forward 39 years and we just surpassed it by a mere degree as the high this evening popped up to 55! A cold front is moving in from the west tonight and it will be preceded by some pockets of heavier rainfall and perhaps a few embedded rumbles of thunder, along with a very gusty wind from the south which could push 45 mph. Most of the wet weather will be out east of the valley by mid to late morning, followed be a return to a brighter sky and colder temperatures. Even though the day will start with temperatures near 50 degrees, it will fall into the 30′s later in the day. The next several days look relatively quiet and colder with only the threat of light snow or flurries on Super Bowl Sunday and again on Tuesday of next week.
