UMass, NEPR, and the city of Springfield Discuss Partnership

UMassRadioAMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) — New England Public Radio, the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the UMass Chancellor came together today to discuss their partnership.

One of the topics discussed was NEPR’s plans to expand to downtown Springfield.

CEO of NEPR, Martin Miller says, “It’s an exciting transformation and time for us, because we know we will be able to provide greater public service.  The city of Springfield is excited about us being fully engaged as part of downtown revitalization.”

The radio station will formally mark the beginning of construction at its new facility at 1525 Main Street in Springfield with a ground breaking ceremony on Friday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m.

NEPR will also add a studio at the UMass Amherst Campus.
