Would-Be Robber Douses Clerks with Lighter Fluid

Police-Arrest3

CLINTON, Mass. (AP) — Police say a masked man with a lighter in his pocket walked into a Clinton convenience store and doused two employees with lighter fluid in an attempt to rob the business.

Brian Dziczek was arrested late Tuesday after the store clerks fought back, tackled Dziczek, and called police. They never gave him any money.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges including assault with intent to murder and attempting to burn a building.

Police say the suspect told them that he owed some people some money.
